A photographer's guide to Taghazout's surf spots

Anchor Point, Hash Point, Panoramas: where to surf and where I shoot from.

Taghazout village by the sea

Taghazout is a string of right-hand points along a few kilometres of coast. Each one has its own mood, and its own best angle.

Anchor Point

The famous one: long, powerful walls on big winter swells. I shoot from the cliff above the take-off.

Hash Point

Right in front of the village, friendly on smaller days. Great for lifestyle shots with the colourful houses behind.

Panoramas

A fun beach break and point just south of the village, usually the best bet for intermediate surfers.
